Introduction:
Group 4 is an exam organized by the Tamil Nadu government. Eligibility for this exam includes anyone who has finished 10th grade in Tamil Nadu, and all individuals who are at least 18 years old can apply. Group 4 Exam Syllabus:
A total of 200 questions will be included in this examination, comprising 100 questions from the Tamil language, 25 questions from the Mathematics syllabus, and 75 questions from the General Knowledge syllabus. The examination will be scored out of 300 marks, with each question valued at one and a half marks. Tamil is designated as a mandatory language component. The answer sheets of candidates who achieve more than 40 percent in the Tamil section will be evaluated.

A total of 100 questions are presented in Tamil, categorized into three sections: Part A focuses on grammar, Part B addresses literature, and Part E encompasses questions from prose segments.
Group 4 Mathematics Syllabus:
A total of 25 questions will be posed in the subject of Mathematics. These questions will be derived from specific topics within the Mathematics curriculum for grades six through ten. The topics include average, sum, least common multiple (LCM) and highest common factor (HCF), ratio and proportion, work and time, profit and loss, percentage, quantitative reasoning, area, probability, and calculations involving dice.
Group 4 GK Syllabus:
In the realm of general knowledge, inquiries are categorized into nine distinct levels. The first unit focuses on scientific topics, while the second unit addresses current affairs. The third unit encompasses questions related to geography, and the fourth unit pertains to historical matters. Political science questions are found in the fifth unit, followed by economics in the sixth unit.
The seventh unit is dedicated to the Indian national movement, and the eighth unit covers a range of subjects including excavations, Sangam literature, Thirukkural, early revolutions against British rule, social reform movements, and the contributions of women in Tamil Nadu during the period of Indian independence. Finally, the ninth unit examines the human resource development index, social justice, and economic issues specific to Tamil Nadu.
Group 4 job status:
There are positions available such as VAO, Typist, Steno Typist, and Junior Assistant. Only individuals who have a genuine interest in these roles should consider applying for the Group 4 examination.
Qualifications for Group 4 Exam:
Individuals who have attained a minimum educational qualification of completing the 10th standard and are at least 18 years old are deemed eligible to participate in this examination. Special considerations are extended to students who have received their education in the Tamil medium.
Group 4 Selection Process:
Candidates are chosen according to the highest cut-off marks released following the examination, and positions are assigned to them in accordance with the 69 percent reservation policy currently implemented in Tamil Nadu.
